Nothing Can Stop a Determined Person

Nothing Can Stop a Determined Person

When a client calls in and says, “My wife wants me to quit smoking,” I immediately say, “Call me back when YOU are ready to quit!”

Determination and will have everything to do with making effective change in your life. There are clients who even come with a tracheotomy and are still smoking through the hole in their necks and still don’t want to really quit. Though nothing can stop a determined person, every small thing can stop one who is trying to make change for the wrong reasons.

Let’s face it, if you want to change, you simply will. You’ll do whatever it takes to really make a difference in your life. I’m not saying that this change can’t have a person involved. I believe, sometimes, knowing that if you continue on a path toward physical destruction (weight, drugs, smoking, alcohol), knowing the child in your life will grow up without your presence is probably one of the best motivations. This is because the reason causes you to have a will to live. The will to be alive and vibrant is probably the only motivator for effective change.

If you have a subconscious desire to kill yourself or slowly waste away, you will never make physical change. Sometimes these messages are from our past. We may have had a parent who constantly told us that we are worthless or not smart. We may have had teachers who didn’t support our learning. We may have had some kind of sexual abuse that caused us to feel guilty and unworthy. All of these factors can be changed in the subconscious mind if you make an effort to press into a positive future.

I believe you can make change. Having someone in your life who sees you whole and complete is a great way to press forward into change. The ability to keep a clear and healthy vision of someone who is sick is an art that prayerful practitioners learn through much meditation. Jesus was one to see wholeness and create it just by touching someone or speaking His truth into existence.

We should take note in how spiritual law works by the great masters of spirituality. If we move through life sowing seeds of good for ourselves and others, good will surely change our lives. I know this to be true for you today.

And so it is.
