Change Happens Through Self-Acceptance #selfacceptance #loveyourself

Many psychologists have said that the hardest person to love is your self. I believe I know why.

Most of us think we are an amalgam of all the things we have accomplished. Add to that our looks. Then subtract all the unforgivable acts we have done. And, voilá, you have our self-image. This is not the truth for me or for you. Who you are is anything but a bunch of accolades. Who you are is a son or daughter of Source—made and created in the image of love and prosperity and wisdom.

When you think of your self, think of all the attributes of Spirit and then imagine being made of those traits. If you are made of the cells of Spirit, then you are one with me, one with Spirit, and one with everything around you. So what is keeping you from believing this truth?

For me, I spent much time looking in the mirror, trying to find my good. I was afraid to look inside, because of what I might see under the cobwebs. But, as I sat silent in the quiet mornings, what began to unfold is an observer self, a spirit companion of sorts that is me, too. From this perspective life began to unfold in a different way.

I suddenly saw my human life as just one manifestation of who I am. My soul, which is boundless, has many ways to express and will continue to express long after this body passes away. So, the key to self-acceptance is to begin by seeing your human relationship to the whole. You are one piece of a very large puzzle, which also makes you an important piece that completes the whole—both in spirit and in body. If you aren’t here on earth, the world changes. So, if you are here, why is not changing for your good and for the good of the entire world?

A prince or princess doesn’t have wave a wand to know s/he has inherited the kingdom. It is already yours!
