Reflections from #Infinity - #spirituality

Reflections from #Infinity - #spirituality

Most of our faith begins with believing in the vague, but intriguing, idea of infinitus—limitless or endless being. The possibility of substance having no end is like watching a computer come up with a myriad of programs and information from a tiny hard drive, then sending it in seconds to the other side of the world.  The first time I watched an airplane take flight I had a similar feeling. Most people have trouble wrapping their minds around infinity. My mother, who was born in the 1930s and who had to cook with coal in the stove and go to the bathroom outside, can barely fathom the capability of a computer or cell phone. But infinity seems to be a state she can understand more easily.

Imagining a place outside of the realm of time seems to be even a larger stretch for my 3-dimensional mind. Yet, if we believe what most scriptures say, a place exists outside of the reality of time, where spirit is changeless and peaceful.

I get glimpses of this place when I #meditate. When I find that place between sleep and awake, I want so strongly to stay floating forever. The feeling of divine meditation resembles one hand falling asleep while you are yet awake. You can’t feel your arm, but you can move it, perhaps with your other hand. The other hand would be likened to your observer mind or the subconscious. The observer seems to be able to draw the mind to a quiet, weightless bliss all at the same time. If this state can be available for every human in this life, then a metaphor exists for me about eternity.

What I’m saying is: to find your belief in an eternal existence starts with #meditation. If you never learn to counterbalance ego reality with spirituality, you will never find a spiritual path worth taking. Trust me, friends, I have been teaching this for a long time and know many spiritual practitioners. They vary in many ways, but one thing is for sure, all of them have had some kind of epiphany involving an out of body experience or vision.

When you have a miracle like Jesus walking through your wall and climbing into your heart, you absolutely never forget that moment. I get it that not everyone is going to have these out of body experiences or open visions, but I do believe that if a person opens his/her mind to infinitus then the likelihood of an experience exactly like I described above could happen.

I don’t limit God or spirit. I imagine, when I pray, that a myriad of information downloads into my finite mind. How God chooses to use the information can’t be left up to me. Most times, I have no idea what to do with half of what I see in spirit. Yet, when I act on my spiritual impulse, I am almost always correct.

Just yesterday I sent an email to a person who needed to hear the exact words I wrote. In fact, he told me that he imagined hearing these words from me, before I even said them. In my meditation, did I tear down the wall between the dimensions, rent the veil,  to be able to hear what was on his mind, or was I simply open to spirit helping him through me? This has no matter to me. If I make what God does through me my business, then I have already slipped into the ego without even knowing it.

A Year to CLEAR Challenge:
(Please Know: You Can Join Us At Any Point in the Year Challenge.)

The masses search outward for things that qualify them as a person, but I always go inward for that which quantifies me for greatness. At twenty-five I preached on street corners in NYC as an in-the-closet Pentecostal minister. One day I heard a still small voice say, ‘God cannot be contained in a book or a law or even in a religion. Dig deeper, reach further to find me, and you will find your authentic Self.’”

A Year to CLEAR Challenge!

The acronym CLEAR stands for (Compassionate, Loving, Enthusiastic, And Relationship-Ready). The goal of this project is to engulf readers in a weekly study that will transform them by removing blocks, promote self-growth, and give them wings to fly freely into daily life. Each week, by going to BoSebastian.com and choosing the Year to CLEAR Challenge tab, a new challenge or thought to provoke conversation, growth, and group functionality.

My vision is to make Finding Authentic You the book to have in your Kindle or on your computer. The book is a comprehensive look at growth—spiritually, mentally, and physically.

As a yoga teacher and student of the Ayurvedic tradition, I bring to the table understanding of physical challenges, the ability to overcome mental problems with Life & Health Coaching, as well as hypnotherapy, and expertise in meditation and spirituality as a minister.

The combination of all three in one book with an interactive connection to like-minded readers, for one year, is what makes this Year to CLEAR Challenge a must-do for every spiritual seeker.

The One-Year Approach to Change

No one believes he or she can change overnight. But success in change comes from the metaphors of nature. Seasonally, life changes all around us in nature. Finding Authentic You offers a gradual change perspective, looking at the triune aspects of change as in yoga: Body, Mind and Spirit.

Accessing the ability to change and finding yourself actually pursuing change must be a daily search, which I call getting to the “observer mind.”

In this frontal cortex of the brain we find the anatomy of change and the power to counter every negative trigger of the human process. The workings of Hypnosis, NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) are all positive actions to help the mind and body flow to a positive space for change.

Every aspect of FINDING AUTHENTIC YOU fulfills this constant need for diffusing the negative past and dreaming of a fulfilling future.

Step 1: Recognize That Change is Inevitable

Step 3: Understanding Change and Allow Spirit to Define It
