I did not realize how many people fear weather conditions until I moved to Florida. If you live by the beach, you periodically have to leave your home for a period of time to avoid being in the middle of a hurricane. You would think, though, that when someone makes the choice to move to the beach, he or she would also have made that choice knowing there was a possibility of hurricanes. Hurricanes and flooding and tsunamis are all possibilities that have shown us great devastation in the past. So, how can we be sure that we are in a safe place all of the time—away from harm’s path?
Even if you move to the mountains, or the dessert, or a farm in Oklahoma, there is going to be some weather pattern that will follow you there that could disrupt your life and quite possibly destroy your home and you in it, if you happen to be home when the storm hits. Is there a place on earth, beyond a storm cellar, where you can live that will protect you from bad weather conditions or storms?
The question truly is: Is there a place in life that we can be protected from the emotional storms that would disrupt our lives? Both questions are the same. And the answer to both questions is also the same. Yes!
If you are in the bubble of communication with Spirit, you will always be where you are supposed to be, when you are supposed to be there. I cannot tell you how many times I have lived through, been in the middle of, and avoided emotional and physical storms simply by listening to my heart. When I hear news of a storm brewing somewhere in the atmosphere, I take on a meditative state. In this observer place in my mind, I can always tell whether or not I need to take action. Why is this so?
Because the consciousness that you go to in meditation is the consciousness that is shared by all, including the Source of all conditions. If you learn to access this place in mind, you will never fear another condition ever. You will always know that you are divinely covered.
