You do not have to be empathic to be able to sense that a person or a job or a place that you visit has bad energy attached to it. You simply have to be sensitive and trust your instincts. I have heard people say, “When she came into the room, I felt cold shivers rush through my body!” Or, “In his presence, I felt nothing but peace. I found myself sharing things I have never shared with anyone.” Well, of course, these are ways of understanding the energy of certain people in your life.
Ultimately, the litmus test is peace for good energy and for bad energy, the lack of peace. If you feel a cold vacuum when you are in a place or around someone, in particular, then you know that this person or place is probably not going to be an energy that will benefit you. You do not need to be spiritually inclined and sensitive to feel Spirit in these instances. You simply have to be AWARE.
I speak much of meditation and connection to spirituality, because if you do not have these aspects of understanding, you may completely miss that Spirit is helping you understand the world by giving you clues. Spirit always wants to protect you and keep you whole, by leading you on a path that is clear and true and in relationships that are perfect for you. It is your own human desire to heal old, past relationships that you keep going back to the same type of person. Spirit would have you heal your old relationships by creating brand news ones that mirror the love of God.
In this New Year, let’s think about the idea that Spirit only wants for us a brand new and wonderful life, every day, and every moment. You can not see your new wonderful life if you are facing away from the NOW and looking at your old past and your old mistakes. We learn from trusting the spiritual leading we feel in our hearts.
Sometimes, we make the wrong decisions and get led by our lusts and our longing to be liked and appreciated. But, only Spirit can show you the perfect way of enlightenment. So, if you do not develop a relationship with Spirit in meditation and prayer, then you never really feel the benefits of your spirituality leading you on this earth plane.
A commitment to developing this right and perfect relationship with God is your first order of business in the New Year. Trust me. Just make some time to read something spiritual and to sit quietly everyday. Your entire life will change. If you need help figuring out what to read, simply ask for help.
