Dream the POSSIBLE Dream!

Almost all of life depends on trust! We step out of our beds in the morning, subconsciously knowing that the floor is there, that the basement hasn’t collapsed below us, that we won’t step on a nail, that an infestation of bugs won’t be gathered where we intend to put our feet, and that the heater didn’t put of carbon monoxide in the middle of the night. Just one movement requires so many part of life to have worked in our favor. Can you imagine how thankful you might be if you thought of all the ways you trust in the world, have faith in God, and believe in the work and products of other people? The list would go on for days.

The New Living translation of Matthew 21:21 says: “Then Jesus told them, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don't doubt, you can do things like this (referring to the fig tree withering and dying at His command) and much more. You can even say to this mountain, 'May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and it will happen.”
Faith is integral to life. We not only have to have faith to have a normal day, we must garner greater faith to move mountains in our lives and kill the fig trees that no longer produce fruit. This kind of faith is the stuff of greatness, that which Jesus asks us to rely on—to build in our subconscious and Divine Consciousness. Undeniably, the most important aspect and attribute of effective prayer is faith. People often ask me, “How did you get to the place where you believed so strongly?”

I have a friend who consistently believes in the worse case scenario for herself. She watches television shows about infestations, death, and incurable diseases. She reached out for help. (I make it a point to wait to help anyone until he or she asks. You would do well to wait as well; otherwise, you end up with codependence, which nobody needs.) I asked her if she would begin to attend Sunday service with me at the Center of Spiritual Living, where every Sunday the minister makes an intention to teach positive prayer. I know this, and I understood that is what my friend needed. So, my realization depended upon her stepping up and reaching out. She did, and we began a great adventure together about prayer and changing her life.

In a matter of a month, her entire disposition had changed. I was near her often in that month and would suggest she make shifts in the way she spoke about her life. For instance: we would turn “I can’t do this” to “this is difficult for me, but I will give it my best try.” “Why does bad happen to me?” to “Life just happens sometimes. I’m knowing that God will provide for this anything else that may happen.”

I taught her the five steps to positive prayer. She is now able to dream and believe that life is on her side, because she has taken control of the future WITH Spirit. She has gotten into the divine flow of life, which is like riding a beautiful wave.

To live the POSSIBLE dream, you must believe that unlimited good exists for you NOW and has always been at your access. This is the Law that Spirit has defined for you and for everyone else listening. To believe in your dream is to have your dream!
