Resisting the Negative Urges of the Past #manifestinggood #DivineMind #ScienceofMind #SOM #SpiritualLiving

Sometimes, I wake up and just do not want to pray. I do not want to meditate. And, I do not want to live in a place that is free of the past pain. Sometimes, indeed, it would seem that the pain from the past is a COMFORT in some strange way. How can pain be comforting? How can the past be anything but more of the same bullshit? And how can bullshit feel comfortable, when we know with certainty that it is not our best? Or do we?

These are questions I ask myself all of the time, especially, when the above happens in the midst of the Law proving itself to be divine and almost miraculous in my life. Why would someone—such as me—who has seen the miracles of Spirituality and the power of praying according to Divine Law—someone who has seen countless ways that this kind of treatment works—why would someone such as me even consider going back to thinking the old way?

I tell you, I perplex even myself, when I get up in the morning, set out on my normal trek with Coco, my dog, and decide… I just do not feel like treating this morning for a great life. I just do not have it in me to believe in something better than this. I do not have it in me to trust in the awesomeness that manifests all around me in the trees, the magnificence of the vast universe, and even in the microscopic cells of my human body? What would cause my mind to retreat from this profound and proven path and consider going back to the old way of thinking?

Sometimes—our minds get tired, or in some cases, sick—literally sick, as in the chemicals that are meant to produce happiness are not working properly.
  • I notice that when I feel physically ill, my mind tends to want to retreat into old thoughts from the past.
  • Also, if someone or something has happened in my life that triggers and old response, similar to PTSD, I often go back to old thoughts.
  • Sometimes, retreating could be just a lack of energy to keep me from moving forward.
  • Other times, the negativity comes from a lack of chemicals in my mind, and I may need to go to the psychiatrist and have him/her tweak my medicine.
All of the above are responses that have happened to me. But how do we resist this from happening in a way that would hinder our good?

Remember, when we consider the process of creating and manifesting in our lives, we must be consistent and believe with all of our hearts. The power of our belief is what continues the process of creating in the subjective mind. Faith molds and shapes our amazing future.

When we begin to add disbelief or negative thoughts to Divine Mind, since Divine Mind must grow what we plant, we begin—again—manifesting negativity, or at least sowing seeds of weeds into the vast creative energy of the universe. The universe, then, must grow these seeds, because you planted them.

If this happens to you, do not fret. You have the power to pluck up those seed, before they begin to grow. Or if your negativity has manifested for a long time, you can pull out the weeds, much like you pull out the weeds from your garden after a week of rain.

This is what we MUST DO, but, I believe you, also, must tend to the issue that rises in your human mind, first. Listen to the thoughts and follow them as if they were telling you a tragic story. If you can stay unattached to the story, you may find that the story will lead you to the culprit that harbors the negativity in your Subconscious Belief System.

In the subconscious of the human mind are many triggers and old signals that must be plucked out by the roots to keep manifesting positivity in our lives. So, if we ignore the negative times and plow through them with positive thoughts and affirmations, we may continue to manifest good, but we may miss the deep roots of the past that will continue to find their way to the surface and grow again.

For me, I like to put my hands on my heart and say, “I love you, Bo” (the human) “and I want to listen to the old story one more time, but this time with the power to change it!”
So, together—me and my humanness, me and my little Bo—take a trip down memory lane to find out what shadow from the past speaks to my mind in such a way that it seems to overpower it. When I find the culprit, I invite that culprit to leave my life and release its hold on me and on my mind. If the negativity persists and doesn’t go away, I command it to leave and use positive affirmations until the negative thoughts subside.

One thing is for certain, you must maintain a level of compassion for yourself and your past and for the care of your heart. The human heart can be fragile, at times, because of the negativity of the past. I know mine must have many scars, and has some places that have been taped up, sewn up, and transplanted with new, working parts, many times. If this were not so, I would not be here to tell you about this story.

So, knowing this, I take great care when I begin the process of looking deeper to turn a negative thought into something that will manifest as a great positive treatment. We all have the power to do this. I invite you to look at your negativity with the care of a nurturing parent. Then, wait… hold on… until the entire story comes to the surface. It is then that you can reach down into your reservoir of good and gather the bones of the past. Then, take those old bones and remove them from your mind, your thoughts, and most importantly from the path to your good.
