During the 20th century, there were a total of 3,542 volcanic eruptions globally. This works out to approximately 35 eruptions per year. This may sound like a lot, but according to Volcano Discovery there are 36 volcanoes erupting around the world right now. In other words, the number of volcanoes erupting as you read this article is greater than the 20th century’s yearly average. All of this is part of a larger trend. In 2013, we witnessed the most volcanic eruptions worldwide that we had ever seen in a single year, and 2015 is already threatening to be another one for the record books.
This news combined with the thousands of worldwide disasters could make anyone wonder if the biblical prophecies of The Book of “Revelations” in the Christian Bible are coming to pass.
For me, I think not!
First of all, every since the time of Jesus, people have been saying the world is coming to an end. There has been more discussion about the end of the world nearing than Twitter Tweets about Deflated Footballs.
Do you remember at the beginning of the 21st century how the largest selling books were about the computer glitch that would end the world as we know it, because no one had thought to program computers for 2000? The gloom-and-doom books flew off of the shelf in record numbers. I know, because I edited one of those books and was working in publicity at a large publishing house, then.
As soon as January 1, 2000 came, the books stopped selling. But, no one at the publishing company cared. They had used fear to sell millions of books. No one cared about changing the consciousness of fear to truth.s The rich pastors/authors disappeared into the woodwork, probably, looking for their next fearful thought to declare to the world to make the next million.
Churches have survived financially because the pastors lead their flocks with fear, like sheep to the slaughter. “If you don’t pay your tithes, bad things will happen to you. Or worse yet, you’ll go to hell!” Goodness gracious, do we really think that God is that angry, or even that God is a man in the sky? How anthropomorphized are your thoughts about God, because of churches and pastors? God is creative energy, founded in pure love. I got news for you, so are you.
I would agree about one thing in the news: There is an end coming sometime. Everything in the Ego World has a beginning and an end. Our human bodies have an end. Just look at pictures of yourself ten years ago and you can see that you’re aging (no matter how many surgeries you’ve had). Our spirits (pure energy as God), however, have come to the earth for a different purpose. It is up to us to decide for what? Are we here to simply learn? Or are we learning to change the course of the earth’s extinction? Here’s some news: Students become teachers. Students become professionals. Students become practitioners. How long are you going to stay in spiritual college?
Give it a thought. Are you tired of being a student of gloom and doom? If so, you may consider that you have come to the earth plain to be an earth-angel or a master teacher, helping those around you to change their minds. Maybe today is the day you stop worrying about your self and concentrate on enlightening and shifting the world’s course with your prayers and blessing. In other words, your thoughts have energy. Use them to stop this insane thinking and, then, enlighten and bless the world!
