The Body of Christ #truth #spirituality #spiritualadvice #spiritualreality

In Metaphysics we do not believe in an anthropomorphic God or Christ. That being said, what exactly is the Body of Christ? If we understand that anthropomorphic means having human characteristics, then we can quite easily distinguish that Christ and God are not like humans. But how so?
When we see a picture that is to represent Jesus, who was clearly a man, most of us recognize the significance. But can you see or even imagine what the Christ looks like? Remember the word Christ, which was a title given Jesus, means simply the anointed one. What does that look like?
Some people have visions during meditation and prayer. I am one of those people. I have seen ideas, perhaps, in my mind, that represent God or Jesus, but I’m not certain that what I see in my mind is actual or a representation to make a point for me in my mind. In other words, sometimes, even though visions seem to be completely real, they are based on what is already in the human brain, because that is our main reservoir of data through which to compare our thoughts.
If we had never seen a chair, how could we know what a chair looks like in mind? So, even the expression of truth in our dreams, probably is anthropomorphized, simply because of our human brains. The brain, from which all thought is filtered, can only give us the data and results of the data if what we perceive is stored on the mainframe of our brain. If the vision is not comparable to anything that we already know, we are at a loss for words to represent what we see. Right?
What if Spirit were to give us a dream of what the ether actually looks like? Would we be able to recognize it? Many forward thinkers have had visions that they could describe in language, but we could clearly see that what they observed in their dreams was far more intricate than their own vocabulary could express. One of those visionaries was John the Apostle in the “The Book of Revelations,” which most people can identify with. Do you remember the first time you tried to understand Revelations? Quite daunting.
Had the Apostle John taken the time to really think about the vision he had written and wonder about the possibility of the many variations or misinterpretations of his dream, he may have stopped before he began writing. Why? Because, sometimes, that which comes to us spiritually is not meant to be translated into human terms. Sometimes, when I get a vision, we can only try to absorb what we see with even more meditation.
I have had times when my dreams have felt as if I were seeing from seven eyes, giving me complete vision of every side of my body. My dream or spiritual vision was very confusing the first time I saw it. I had to ask for it to be repeated many times, before I began to actually make sense of the perspective Spirit tried to share.
Even in writing this now, I’m thinking, will anyone really even understand what I’m saying? This was for me—from God—in my own meditation. Is it meant to be explained? Can I explain it?
The body of God and the body of Christ are just words that mean, “the make up” of God and Christ. What we can be certain of is that God is limitless, eternal, and omnipresent. So, can we actualize know what that Spiritual body would look like?

Releasing the Frequency of Your Reality! Manifesting a Dream—Part II #becomingconscious #whatstrending #psychology #spiritualliving #dreaming

In review, Albert Einstein said: “Everything is energy, and that’s all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want, and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics!” Our discovery yesterday was to find something that we desire (a Dream) and discover a parallel thought to match the feeling you will have when that dream manifests. Our first step was: every time you think about your dream, make sure you bring that parallel feeling (or frequency, as Einstein says) to the thought.

So, now, you have a blueprint of what you desire in your mind. You have matched the frequency of that dream to your vision. Every time you pray or treat for that vision to come true, you bring to your prayer and your meditation a tangible, human feeling. Einstein’s physics would say that “in due time, the dream will begin to manifest.” What then? How do we move forward to help this dream?

When you plant a seed, you have expectation that it will grow, because all of your life you have seen plants manifest as a result of planting seeds. That expectation is “the frequency” of which Einstein speaks. You understand that, within the first few days of planting that seed, you are not going to see physical results, even though beneath the ground much is happening to the seed in the rich soil. The soil is your mind!

Your hopes are not dashed when you wake up and no flower is blooming in your garden. Why? You understand the physics of planting a seed. Some bulbs that you plant take an entire season or two to manifest a flower. One time I planted a seedling. With the instructions was a warning that this plant may take three years to flower. Indeed, every year I waited with expectation for my Black Queen Iris to flower. But, three years to the day—not one day earlier—not one year earlier, the flower bloomed in all its magnificence. The flower was certainly worth the wait.

But what if that flower hadn’t come with instructions? What if every year, the plant came to full fruition and no flower appeared? The first couple of years, I would have walked around in total disappointment. However, knowing the physics of that plant helped me stay hopeful in the waiting period. This same instruction comes with manifesting dreams. Some take longer than you would imagine to manifest. So, keeping the vibration strong in the waiting, actually, becomes the hardest part.

So, hope and understanding how a dream works is very much a part of the process of getting what you desire. If I had gotten discouraged after the second year, I may have pulled up the plant and started with a new one. But, my hope kept the dream of that beautiful, rare Iris alive.

So, you plant the seed, the root, or the bulb and wait for Spirit to do its work. We can define spirit here as “the law of physics.” Spirit is often defined as immutable Law. When you consider that, if a seed is planted in the right environment, watered correctly, in the right amount of sun and heat, then the plant will grow as intended. No scientist could argue with that fact. But, when it comes to the intangible, such as dreams and unseen frequencies, we tend to lose hope.

So, your dream must have all of these aspects in place, just as the seed in the ground, ready to be nurtured by you. But, more importantly, the aspects that you can’t do (actually make the plant grow larger, flower, or bear fruit) you must release to the power of this Immutable Law.

Then, the hard part is to wait, while you continue to believe with the frequency that matches the manifestation of your dream. In other words, release your dream to the Law!

Tomorrow, when the small seed begins to show signs of growth, what do we do next?

Missing the Mark - #Sin-consciousness

For years I have thought that, if I did something wrong, a Big Man in the sky was keeping records. As a result of any presumed misbehavior, a demerit system took place in which my goals and dreams would be sacrificed. This system determined my success in life.

If I were good, I would gain success. If had done something that I thought God considered wrong or evil, I would chastise myself by forfeiting my dreams to an unknown monster called the devil.

What I described above is a very common way of thinking that matches a religious look at life in which rules dictate the growth of your human spirit. As most of us live, or have lived, by this law, and all of us are bound to take a wrong turn somewhere in life, then, I would guess, that most of us feel we are unworthy of Good and Prosperity. Have you considered that maybe this old system of belief is why your prayers have gone unanswered?

I certainly have. First of all, I don’t consider prayer a list of things I want from Santa Claus. That is old school belief, and I feel it has no bearing on a spiritual adult today. Daddy God is ready to give you the credit card, my dear friend and child of the Most High, and let you make your choices without judging and condemning you.

Are you ready for that responsibility? That’s the real question here.

A spiritual adult must learn to act with God and as an emissary of God. In other words, you are the hand of God reaching into humanity to express the will and creative nature of Spirit. You have been divinely created for this sole purpose.

But how many of us have decided that being a Son or Daughter of God is blasphemy? Or, that having the power to create your future is way too much to handle? You would much rather be a codependent child waiting for dinner to be served without having a preference of the outcome.

I know this for certain: I want a choice. I want to create a new and wonderful future now! I am not bound by my past. My future is not contingent upon any perceived wrongdoing. The reason why my prayers have not been answered may be, because I have spent far too long focused in on my wrong and not enough time contributing to the process of creating my good, with my God Consciousness.

Today is the day to let go of that old thought process that hinders your creative power. Remember, the time you spend thinking and dreaming is reciprocal with the effects in your life. This power and spiritual law does not discern whether or not you think negative or positive thoughts. It simply operates without judgment. So, if you think you deserve less, you will certain get less.

However, if you believe that you are a child of the Most High, Unlimited Source of Good (an arm of God), then you will certainly begin to manifest the power and the effect of your positive belief.

Recurring #Dreams: What Do They Mean?

For the past thirty years I have had a recurring dream about being in a high school. Sometimes, I cannot find my locker. Other times, I cannot remember the combination of my locker. A few times, I’m late for class. Many times, I’m just simply lost in the hallways, not able to get to class. But the permeating and consistent factor in this recurring dream is being in a high school. So, the questions is: Why does this dream follow me in every path of my life and, even more so, why has it continued over the years?
Dreams are simply metaphor. Some times the metaphors are stronger than other times. This particular metaphor, for me, is a life long lesson, one that should spark a concerted effort to understand its significance. If I don’t listen, I’ll continually hear from my own subconscious mind (or from Spirit), until I learn the much-needed lesson.
The answer to the recurring dream is usually in the next episode of the dream. This morning, I had a vision during my meditation that I was in a NEW high school, a place where I had to ask the location of the principal’s office. The school, also, had a medical ward in one annex of the building, with surgeons and astute professors. Let’s break the dream down together and see if you can understand how to make sense of your own recurring dreaming patterns.
Many spiritual teachers believe that the earth is a big school for our spirits. I would have to say, this is also a personal belief. So, when I dream of a school, the metaphor usually has to do with some aspect of life in which I’m learning. For a long time, I dreamed of high schools. One day in my late forties, I found myself in a college atmosphere. I woke up amazed and proud, as if I had graduated from a twenty-year stay in high school.
However, the school that presented itself in my dream this morning was a teaching school, much like Vanderbilt University, connected to a hospital, for practitioners and doctors in training. Everything was new, very much like my different and brand new atmosphere in Southern Florida. The situation was simple to decipher.
However, one part of the dream had me walking into a professor’s office. She asked me to get her a cup of coffee. I told her that I wasn’t a worker or an assistant. I was a student. Getting her coffee wasn’t one of my duties. However, I got her a cup of coffee out of the kindness of my heart. She looked at me with a perplexed stare then ordered the next person who passed her to do something else.
This person, was the primary character of the dream, which means, usually, that this is part of my own personality presenting itself in an observer way for me to see a part of myself I’m not privy to. However, my personal belief is that in recurring dreams, the main character plays a different role. He or she usually is the only part of the recurring dream that actually changes. So, its significance is paramount in understanding the dream.
Let’s look at the attributes of this arrogant character. This was an older woman. She didn’t have an understanding of how to treat a subordinate. She was bossy. Though she may have been there to teach me, personally, she acted as if I were her slave. She didn’t pay attention to me. And, though she was mean, I still was nice to her.
When I look at all of these attributes, I immediately think of my family and dynamics with my mother, right now. Our school is our current situation in life. Mine happens to be living with, and around, most of my family members, for the first time in thirty years. Some of my family is bossy. Some think they can order me around. A couple are angels, but usually get stepped on by the others. Some just simply ignore what anyone has to say.
So, this dream appears to be telling me that I should beware that this new school has the ability to either incapacity me with frustration, as family members do whatever they want without my approval or desire. And, if I’m to learn to be a student in this school, I had better find the clear path to the principal’s office, which means the place where the rules are made! In this case, I believe that the principal’s office means that I need to make some clear boundaries; otherwise, I will not be happy in this place in my life.
I hope this helps you to look at some recurring dreams you may have had in your life.

Anxiety, Archetypes, and Footprints #dreams #archetypes #indiantotems #dreaminterpretation

Anxiety, Archetypes, and Footprints
#dreams #archetypes #indiantotems #dreaminterpretation

I have written many blogs about the mysteries of spirit and how faith combined with meditation can help you resolve, at least, some mysteries in your lives. For instance, I have been trying to sell my house for 3 weeks now. I have had many viewers, but no buyers. Everyone, including my real estate agent, assumed that the house would sell immediately, because it’s in a great neighborhood, and I’ve spent the last 7 years creating amazing gardens and remodeling to make it absolutely perfect for me. Nonetheless, I have had to reduce the cost of the home by 10K just to keep people looking. My spiritual resolve bounces back and forth from anxiety to quiet, then back to stress, and more meditation, leading me again to faith.

Our human DNA is programmed to protect ourselves from dying and from lack. So, as I have practically closed up shop with my business in Nashville, I have been progressively making less money, counting on the sale of my house to give me my equity back to move forward with my new dream in Florida. However, this is not the highest will of God and Spirit, apparently. Otherwise, I would have had an offer by now. My goal as a spiritual seeker, is to discover what my lesson is in the midst of this trial. I prayed for wisdom in my meditation.

Yesterday I spotted a doe breaking through the brush aside the highway and barely making it past a fast-paced driving car in front of me. My mind went back to a time when my cousin, driving in a snowstorm, collided with a deer that jumped off of a Pennsylvania mountain cliff, paralyzing my cousin for the rest of her life and, of course, sacrificing its own life.

Deer in Indian mythology and archetypes are believed to sacrifice themselves to feed the people or are considered caretakers of the earth. Deer songs and deer dances are common throughout some regions of Mexico, with the deer frequently serving as a symbol of the people. But this deer actually caused great pain in many lives. I often wonder if we had checked the footprints above on the cliff, if the deer had been chased by a predator to come to its fatal destiny. No one ever checked. But, destiny is what it is? Right? Can we change our destiny?

So, in my quiet time, I heard a whisper that said, “Your time is coming in Florida, but your sisters and mother need space to work out some issues together, before you get there!” At face value, that seemed like a very pertinent word from God. I understand completely and wouldn’t want to ruin the perfect destiny of my mother’s and sister’s lessons by moving too quickly. So, I go back to recent archetypes in my life and the footsteps leading to lessons I never expected, nor would have chosen for myself.

The last time I moved was to Nashville from New York City. The move was horrific. My friend Kenny and I drove two separate vans with everything I owned in them, first, to Pittsburgh, to get what was left of mine at my father’s house. We stayed over night there and rested. Then, we continued on our path toward Nashville the next day. During that trip, we ended up driving 20 miles an hour through a blizzard in the mountainous areas of Pennsylvania. Kenny drove ahead of me. As I was fully intent on not wrecking my new van, I noticed a deer above us on the ledge of a cliff. Then, there were no cell phones or instant communication. I had no way of warning Kenny that deer was headed right toward him. In a flash, the deer jumped from the cliff, just like the story of my cousin, but instead of landing in his windshield, the doe landed just ahead, causing him to wreck his car.

I remember thinking, God, I know you have called me to this move. I feel it in every part of my body and mind. Why would you make this so difficult? I got no answer, then. Though Kenny’s van was badly dented, it was still running, so we proceeded to my father’s home. There, we were able to get the necessary mechanic to get us safely back on the road to Nashville.

Two or three days ago, I was taking a leisurely walk in a state park near my home and a baby deer was feeding on the path. The deer let me walk right up to it. I talked to it as I would my dog. It gazed up at me with large round, brown eyes, and then drifted away, leaving footprints in the muddy ground. As I observe the last few days of my life from a compassionate, omniscient perspective, I see that in the midst of my struggle to remain calm, because of my lack of control of a situation, I have seen metaphors and archetypes flash by me like dreams from the past. I prayed for the wisdom to help me make sense of them.

What I received is that each time I saw the deer, I had been on the right path, as they speak to me personally as a gentle reminder of God’s beauty and perfect poise and grace as I move through trials. Maybe, these gentle creatures have come to tell me that my story is unfolding before me, and that as a deer must forage through the woods finding food and water, so must I go to where my soul will be fed. As for the anxiety, that is just symbolic of my humanity. When I lose control of a situation, because of anchors from my past, I feel insecure and scared. Perhaps, my waiting in peace, will help me release the residual pain of the past, once and for all. That’s my hope. That’s my prayer.

So, sometimes in life, God and Spirit plant metaphors around you and archetypes to unfold the mystery of your present situation. If you have questions about your life, stay present and in the moment. When you see something unusual or dream of something specific, go to the Internet and search for the meaning. Many sites exist there that interpret dreams and give you spiritual archetypes for what you see. We are in a world now where nothing needs to remain a mystery—even your own trials. Namaste.

When Words Can’t Be Expressed: #NotSpeech-ripe #ahamoments

When Words Can’t Be Expressed: #NotSpeech-ripe #ahamoments

What happens when a feeling manifests and no literary meaning accompanies it? Do you get frustrated and try to attach words and symbols to what simply has no words yet? This happens very often when we meditate or dream. As I have learned to keep a dream journal by my bed for important messages that come through when I am not trying or looking, I notice that, come morning, I rarely understand what I have written the night before. Could this be because, as I lay in a subconscious state my mind doesn’t need to express in words to understand? When I reach into my box of human understanding, even if I try to explain the scenario as I see it, words still don’t describe the feeling.

I didn’t know a word existed for the gushing that doesn’t have form enough to tag it with a human symbol or word. Today, during a dream workshop, a friend shared that these feelings with no words are simply not Speech-ripe. So, what of this? Should we be concerned when a dream appears inexplicable?

If a dream stays with me long enough, I should assume that spirit is trying to communicate a message. Again, the message may not be speech ripe. But this doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t write down the dream and wait until it ripens.

Oftentimes, each character and object in a dream will represent something special. You may find it necessary to meditate on the dream, allowing yourself to be the voice of each of the people and objects in the dream. For instance, if you have a dream about an empty suitcase, a person coercing you to leave your home, and clothes strewn all over the house; you might consider playing the part of each of these characters.

For instance: I am the suitcase in this draft of the dream. As I speak in the first person for this image, I notice that I am empty. I have thrown what was inside me out on the floor. I want to be empty. I am not ready to leave for some reason. My desire is to stay home.

For the person coercing you to leave. I am the antagonist in your story. I am the creditor who says, “If you don’t pay your rent on time this month, you will have to move.” I am pushing you out of your malaise.

Next, I am the clothes strewn on the floor: Perhaps, I feel as if every part of myself is scattered. My mind can’t focus. I want to create order, but I simply can’t.

Then play the part of you in the dream and see if the scenario makes more sense. Maybe this isn’t about leaving a place or job at all. Perhaps this dream is about making a clear decision in your life, then taking that which you’ve packed away and throwing out what no longer serves you. Will your suitcase hold all of your old belongings? When you have sifted through the old, you can now, neatly refold your things and safely move forward in your life without the antagonist trying to push and pull you.

Dreams are mostly metaphor. So, try not to look at them with the ego mind. When you release and let go of the perceived meaning, you may find an even deeper, more AHA moment that opens up the doorways to a deeper spiritual understanding of you and your life.

Below is information that I will be sharing for about a month, as not every person on my list reads the blog every day. If you have already read it, just skip over it. Thanks for understanding.

A Year to CLEAR Challenge:
(Please Know: You Can Join Us At Any Point in the Year Challenge.)

The masses search outward for things that qualify them as a person, but I always go inward for that which quantifies me for greatness. At twenty-five I preached on street corners in NYC as an in-the-closet Pentecostal minister. One day I heard a still small voice say, ‘God cannot be contained in a book or a law or even in a religion. Dig deeper, reach further to find me, and you will find your authentic Self.’”

A Year to CLEAR Challenge!

The acronym CLEAR stands for (Compassionate, Loving, Enthusiastic, And Relationship-Ready). The goal of this project is to engulf readers in a weekly study that will transform them by removing blocks, promote self-growth, and give them wings to fly freely into daily life. Each week, by going to BoSebastian.com and choosing the Year to CLEAR Challenge tab, a new challenge or thought to provoke conversation, growth, and group functionality.

My vision is to make Finding Authentic You the book to have in your Kindle or on your computer. The book is a comprehensive look at growth—spiritually, mentally, and physically.

As a yoga teacher and student of the Ayurvedic tradition, I bring to the table understanding of physical challenges, the ability to overcome mental problems with Life & Health Coaching, as well as hypnotherapy, and expertise in meditation and spirituality as a minister.

The combination of all three in one book with an interactive connection to like-minded readers, for one year, is what makes this Year to CLEAR Challenge a must-do for every spiritual seeker.

The One-Year Approach to Change

No one believes he or she can change overnight. But success in change comes from the metaphors of nature. Seasonally, life changes all around us in nature. Finding Authentic You offers a gradual change perspective, looking at the triune aspects of change as in yoga: Body, Mind and Spirit.

Accessing the ability to change and finding yourself actually pursuing change must be a daily search, which I call getting to the “observer mind.”

In this frontal cortex of the brain we find the anatomy of change and the power to counter every negative trigger of the human process. The workings of Hypnosis, NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) are all positive actions to help the mind and body flow to a positive space for change.

Every aspect of FINDING AUTHENTIC YOU fulfills this constant need for diffusing the negative past and dreaming of a fulfilling future.

Step 1: Recognize That Change is Inevitable
Step 2: Release from Resistance to Change
Step 3: Understanding Change and Allow Spirit to Define It
Step 4: A History Lesson—About You
Step 5: Look at Your Past with Compassion
Step 6: Making a Strong Commitment to Change
Step 7: Dream Your Fabulous Future

Empty Space has the Greatest Potential

Empty Space Has the Greatest Potential

When I first moved into my house, I had a large plot of ground between two carports. The land had more weeds than grass. The carport that was separated from the house looked like a big yellow eyesore. I lived in the house three years before it occurred to me to dig up that useless plot of land, make a garden, and tear down the unwanted carport that was shading my possibility.

Three years later, this blank page now has a water feature, a pond, Koi Fish, five different types of roses, a wooden bridge, a metal archway, garden art, and probably forty other varieties of flowers and bushes. When you drive up to my house, instead of a blank, empty plot of land; now exists a beautiful garden, alive and growing.

I share my story about the garden, because it didn’t happen overnight. The plan started with an empty plot and a vision (Point 1). One day, I drove up and thought, this would be a perfect place for a garden. I didn’t think about the water feature or what kind of flowers I would plant, or the fact that I didn’t know much about gardening. I didn’t imagine much, only that a garden should exist.

So, the winter before I planned to plant, I put newspaper over the grass and waited for spring to come (Point 2).

My nephew was town that next spring, and we bartered for voice lessons for him to begin to take out the dead grass and hoe the hard, deeply rooted ground. Suddenly, before me was a field of rich soil with only two old rose bushes in it.

I have a neighbor who has gardens everywhere you look. Her backyard looks like a little piece of heaven. I imaged what I wanted was something similar to hers. So, I asked for advice from her (Point 3).

Suddenly, every morning, she would leave plant starters on my doorstep. Without much thought, I would just put them in the ground. Other neighbors saw the blank ground and offered plants as well. “I have 20 of this variety that I’m sick of. If you dig them up, you can have them.” Be open to receiving from God’s hand. God’s hands can be any one of his wonderful angel humans (Point 4).

One day, as I was cutting the grass, I noticed that I had been cutting over an old bed of iris and peonies. I must have found 100 small seedlings that morning. Be open for surprises (Point 5). I planted every one of them. What I didn’t know was that these small irises and peonies would take about three years to bloom. Since I didn’t think about what would bloom, it didn’t matter.

When I moved to my current house, I had taken with me a few herbs from my old home and a hydrangea bush. The bush had about four starter plants coming from the bottom, so I planted those and took cuttings of the herbs, as well, to fill the space. Plants propagate like dreams (Point 6).

Suddenly, every thing in my yard looked different. I took the time to actually notice that places in the yard looked like they had once been gardens. I began to ask my neighbor if certain small plants were flowers. I found another four rose bushes, different varieties of ornamental grass, a beautiful purple clematis, a butterfly bush, and three Rose of Sharon trees. I took all of them from the shaded backyard and transplanted them into my new garden.

After all this, I invested in some flowers that I thought would be hearty and that I wouldn’t have to replant every year (perennials). Investing in the long term of your dream is important (Point 6).

Soon after, I had a client who wanted to trade hypnosis sessions to put in a Koi pond and a water feature. I took him up on the offer. And that’s how my flower garden dream came into fruition.

Don’t waste the empty space in your mind, in your home, and in your yard. Let this space be a canvas for your mind to express your deepest dreams. If you think about the entire project before you begin, you’ll probably never start. Just dream and begin, one step at a time. Now, I have five garden with over 400 varieties of flowers.
