When a scientist leaves a Petri dish out all night, by mistake, and comes up with a cure for a fatal disease, we call this happenstance. This scientist knows that if the contents of the Petri dish changed once, the metamorphosis must be able to happen again. So, he proceeds to create the same ambient temperature, the same time, the same space, and the same contents to try to recreate the original mistake, so that he can proceed to call this mistake a discovery. When she produces the right facts and consistent change, this becomes science.

Ideas, mistakes, and even blatant errors have often changed the course of humanity, as science has made small corrections in the errors and called them discoveries. However, we are remiss in thinking that the only thing that is produced in the manifest world is from science. The entire process above started with an idea in mind. From the idea, whether it be a mistake or happenstance, discovery manifested as a result of an idea. This is how everything transpires in the universe.

All manifest form begins in the mind of God and in you. We are co-creators. Someone has to be allowing spirit to flow through them to let the heavenly actions of Spirit to move to and flow through and into the earth. So, will that person be you with your next idea?

I write this because I want you to not be afraid to dream. Dreaming is a great step to manifesting. It is the FIRST step to creating anything new in your life. Should you stop at the dream stage, that’s okay. Eventually, you will gain the strength to take more steps toward your dream as it becomes more real.

The power of dreaming is amazing. It can create miraculous in your life, if you release totally from fear and allow your entire mind to dance in the delight of your dream.

Attaining Prosperity in the New Year #Uber #prosperity #SpiritualPrinciple #SOM #spirituality

When you grow up poor and always wondering if you will be eating “hot rock soup” for dinner, you tend to have a lingering feeling of loss, even if you have become a successful adult. I know this feeling well. I see it in every member of my family, and each of them has a different level of prosperity.

I specifically see this evident in my mother’s attitude toward life. She has a tendency to insist that she attains two or three of everything in the pantry, to make sure that she will never run out of anything she needs. This feeling of lack, she has passed on to each of her children, without even knowing it.

The good news is that with the knowledge of “observing” your human actions and feelings, you can change them at any time. If you have been reading my blog, you have a basic understanding of how to change a negative thought to a positive one. In so doing, you will change your external world, simply by remodeling your thought about it. What you believe will become the story of your life.

I noticed, recently, that no matter how much I had in the bank, I always seemed to feel a sense of lack. Also, even when I was resting, I simply felt as if I wasn’t doing enough to attain all that I need or live in the lifestyle that I’m accustomed.

So, I decided to do something about this feeling. Instead of living with negativity and a poverty feeling (which does not serve anyone) and having to negate the feeling that came up every time I thought about my bank account, I asked Spirit to help me work on this problem.

My answer was very simple. Find something to do, part-time that helps me feel as if I have enough. I already know that enough exists in the world and that I’m made of the very matter that created the world. So, stepping one footstep farther and allowing my mind to manifest more prosperity took one action—OPENING MY MIND AND HEART TO MORE.

Spirit’s guidance was simple: Find something you can do that will provide a little more (if that’s what you think you need), and the feeling of “need” will go away. I prayed for guidance as to WHAT this part-time job would look like. I had no idea that the answer would come from an innocuous, paper business card someone had handed me at a commercial shoot I did over a year ago. It was a card to become an UBER driver.

The guy who handed me the card had just driven over the holidays and made about $500 in one evening. I was impressed. So, I held on to the card, but never really looked into it. After all, I had had a very successful year of doing nine commercial. Why would I need to be an Uber Driver? But, I kept the card, nonetheless. One day, soon after I had prayed the prayer about secure finances, the card ended up on my desk. I looked into Uber driving on the Internet, and, indeed it became, not only a great source of extra income, but a wonderful source of spiritual growth.

What I do is drive to places that I must go—auditions, the store, errands, etc. After I’m finished with my own business, I turn on the Uber App and let the drives lead me back home. So, I end up making money for every place I drive. Auditions are no longer an investment in “possibility.” They are now, always, a small way of adding to my bank account. It was that simple.

I know there are probably a thousand different ways you could find to make a little extra money, if and when you need it. There is no reason on earth, for a moment, to ever feel that prosperity does not exist for you. Yes, you may have to work a little harder for it, but you certainly do not need to worry about it one more minute. You are made all the possibilities in the universe. You are prosperity unfolding, already. All you have to do is open your heart to it and change your mind about it.

Worry will simply result in taking away your health, your security, and probably negate any of the good you dream . What you think in mind, liberates Source to create good for you. I believe this is the metaphor of the misunderstood scripture (Matthew 13:12)

Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.

This is not about greed and an unjust God. This scripture is showing the Principle of Prosperity in mind. As Ernest Holmes says: “What you have in mind, produces in kind.”

The Help of Ministers and Teachers #spiritualprincipal #divineMind #SOM #spirituality

For years I rested on my laurels, thinking that when I needed prayer that I could simply go to a minister or a prayer practitioner to help me manifest something in my life. For a long time I ignored the truth and principles that I needed to learn to help my spiritual walk manifest with strength and power.

Today is the day that you might consider this possibility: What if someone is not available at the time of your prayer? Even worse, what if you choose the wrong person to help you manifests your life’s goals? Instead of using principle, this minister sets in motion a prayer of poverty. Then, to make matters worse, you say, “Amen,” with trust, and double the prayer action.

So, in other words, when you place someone else in control of your divine destiny, many things can go wrong. We wonder why we have been in New Thought for so long and the much-needed change we pray for is still not manifesting. Many of you are still going to traditional churches, afraid to leave your old friends and families, and pray prayers over and over again with ministers who know nothing about what you have been avidly practicing in your personal time with books by Deepak Chopra, Marianne Williamson, Eckhart Tolle, Louise Hay, and the like.

When you go out on the Interstate to drive and do not remember the basic rules of driving, whose fault is it when you get pulled over by a policeman? When you try to make toast with a broken toaster or in a kitchen where the electricity is turned off, whose fault is it when your toast does not brown? In other words, the Laws and Principles of Spirituality are all around you, have been taught to you week after week, and still you do not take the responsibility of learning the way to pray effectively in your life.

Also, what I hear more than anything is: “I cannot meditate! I will not meditate. I just do not have the time. I cannot sit still long enough. I cannot get my mind to shut off!” Well, now would be the time to ask for instruction, not prayer. Or read a book about it and learn how to meditate. I promise you, no real spiritual change will occur in your life until you can separate your spiritual self from your human self. This happens in the observer mind as you meditate. So, if you are not meditating and, at least, trying to discover this reality, you are not walking toward your highest spiritual self.

I am writing to encourage you to take responsibility of your own walk. You are probably the kind of person that controls everything in your life, BUT your spiritual walk. Will you ask yourself why? Do you think you are not powerful enough, good enough, or moral enough to make your prayers become effective?

Let me leave you with this one thought. There are many, many people who have no morality at all, who understand the Laws and Principles of receiving from the universe. These people are using their good for terrorism and building castles for themselves to the sky. If you were to be able to manifest in the same way as these men and women, where would you put your wealth and prosperity?

The world needs you to grow up spiritually, so that you can counteract the negativity in the world!

Believing Is Receiving #absolutethinking #spiritualprincipal #divineMind #SOM #relativethinking

This year, and any other year for that matter, billions of children will be hoping, wishing, and believing for the exact gift they have conceived in their minds all year for Christmas. I wonder how many children actually get the gift they asked for.

Conceptually, I bet the children who believed that they would receive their dream gifts and then received them are more likely to be getting what they want this Christmas and more often in their lives as adults.

You may ask yourself: But of the two children who set out to believe in the perfect gift, neither was wrong; yet, one received and one did not. One gained faith, and other began a descent into poverty thinking. What is wrong with this picture?

I cannot speak for the child who asked and received, but I do see this scenario all around me in children who believe in the magic of their parent’s deep pockets. I know that faith in this child, who receives much, is not tested yet. Maybe some day it will be, but not today. Because of the idea that you conceive something and then receive it, these children’s minds are set to believe in a great and prosperous future. Because faith is imperative in the process of attaining anything, these young adults will probably receive much of what they want.

But, the many children who did not get what he or she asked for, received an even greater gift. Those children now must build their own truth about faith and become stronger individuals to receive anything in life. I can speak for this child, because I was him. He was neglected. He asked and did not receive. Yet, for some reason, he still believed in a greater truth, one that did not depend on humans or parents to fulfill.

In the years of my childhood, I had grown up in poverty, but ended up moving with my mother, who chose to help me believe in more, even though we did not have much as far as money. Also, inside of me, I knew that if I could be smart enough that I could achieve great things. I am not sure who instilled this truth into me, but I am grateful for this concept that grew inside of me, even to this day.

However, what has happened over the years is that the “poverty thinking” that had been lodged in the mainframe of my consciousness had to be uprooted. However, the roots were deep. As much as I pulled them out, it seems they were like the weeds that have an abundant and prolific way of reproducing, even if the smallest of root is left there. So, during most of my life, I have had to overcome old, poverty thinking, each time I pursued something new in life, to actually receive the grand prize in the end. Sometimes I overcame; sometimes I did not.

What have these hard lessons taught me?

When I see young children receiving good, initially, I am actually happy for those children. Maybe these young spirits had already learned the lesson of faith and are off to a greater start in this lifetime than my spirit was on this particular human path. Our focus cannot be on what we see around us. It must continue to be on our lives and the lessons learned daily. Self is the only place to begin to unlock truth and build faith.

If today you struggle with believing, because you never received as a child; then today is also the today you can get the biggest gift you have ever gotten. You can believe that this is a new day. You are at the helm of the ship, steering your thoughts toward the belief that the Law of Prosperity must work for everyone, not just a select few. God does not say, “You receive gold and you receive ashes!” No Spirit wants all children to receive everything in the kingdom. However, some will receive it later as a result of hard learned lessons. Some will lose what they have not worked for, and learn even harder lessons. But, today, is your chance to prove the truth of Prosperity by initiating a new motto for yourself:

As much as I can believe; I can be!

Absolute and Relative Thought #absolutethinking #spiritualprincipal #divineMind #SOM #relativethinking

In prayer and in thought we have two kinds of ideas in mind: Relative and Absolute:

Relative Thoughts exist or possess a specified characteristic only in comparison to something else; they are not absolute. Whereas,

Absolute Thoughts are viewed or existing independently and not in relation to other things; they are not relative or comparative.

We have considered in other Discoveries that God or Source is not relative to anything or anyone. Source is the beginning of all thought; therefore, source is Absolute.

Everything resulting from Source would be relative to the Absolute. So, it would make sense, when Source created all things manifested, that they came from Source in absolute form, from absolute mind. Creation is the beginning and has no other beginning but Source. Therefore, the science of creation, we could say, is to know something as Absolute, as opposed to relative. We would say this, because all of creation manifested from Absolute thought, not relative thought.

For instance: You desire to have more prosperity. In so doing, you treat for your situation with all of your existing circumstances (relative thought): “I want to get a promotion. I see myself getting more money for what I do. I see myself getting along with my coworkers better. I get my work done at home, rather than at work…” All of this treatment is in accord with the idea that you are still working at your same job or have the same circumstance as before you treated for your situation.

A better approach to prayer would be that we deal in the Absolute, because God or Source is Absolute. So, instead of praying about something specific to our situation, we should alter our prayer to be more open to various amounts of change and volition.

An example of the new prayer, from an Absolute Idea would be:

“Because Source is whole, complete, and always prosperous in everything and abundantly producing more and more at every level of creation; I, too, am producing more from every level of my life.

“My job is the perfect job for me. It provides for me ample money for me to do what I need to do, when I need to do it, and even more than I know I need.

“My job uses all of my talents in perfect accord with universal need and the needs of all the people in my life, including myself.

“I open my heart to this wonderful change in my life, as I put away my restriction in every area my life.

“I see myself Whole and ever-prospering in everything I do, including my work. I release this intention to the Law of Love. And so it is!”

From the Absolute all good can proceed from Subjective Source without filters and constrictions. You want to give Source every opportunity to help you and change you from a consistent belief in the power of your own Creative Thought. And the science of Creative Thought always begins with Absolute Ideas, never relative.

Everyday, as I walked my dog, I pass an elderly man in his 80s or 90s. I say, “Good morning. How are you today, sir.” He answers, “This is the best day ever!” Everyday, I get the same response, whether it is raining, snowing, cloudy or sunny, he replies, “This is the best day ever!”

In other words my friend has decided—with his own volition—what the day will be like. He does not let life’s circumstance decide for him. He meets life with the perspective and expectation of wonder and excitement. I would bet you that this man experiences more joy than most of us, as a result.

So, let’s use this incredible man’s insight to help us see this day for all the beauty we can intend for it. Let’s see this holiday as a day of light, comfort, fun, joy, and sharing love with friends and family. No matter what you choose to do with this day—spending it alone to decompress, vacationing, helping a sick friend, volunteering at a soup kitchen, or cooking for 30 family members—this is your day to make of it what you want.

The world and its myriads of circumstantial evidence to the contrary is simply a manifestation of fear. Today, we celebrate the opposite of fear—pure love, pure joy, pure peace! We celebrate our power as love on this earth, working through and as us, to bless those in our lives! Today and everyday this is “the best day ever!”

Every morning, after my meditation and a long walk with my dog, which includes a prayer about what I positively know in my life—I read something spiritual or uplifting. For about ten months, now, I have been reading my lessons in two languages, English and Spanish. Since I am learning Spanish, I would read the sentence in English, first, then read it in Spanish, next. Then, eventually, I would read an entire paragraph in English, then read it again in Spanish.

Today, I noticed that I have been reading the Spanish, first, and sometimes ignoring the English all together. It seemed that, in a flash, I have begun to actually digest another language.

Suddenly, I was amazed at the power of the human will. My desire began as a seed, just a bucket list item—LEARN ANOTHER LANGUAGE. Now, after Rosetta Stone, hiring a teacher from Colombia, and hanging out with some Spanish friends, I am actually communicating in another language.

I know I have a long way to go and much to learn, but here is my point: Just ten months ago, I decided I wanted to learn Spanish. It was very difficult, at first. I struggled a lot. Even when I was sure I knew phrases and ways to communicate the simplest of conversations, I would freeze up and forget while I spoke to the many Latin people around me in Southern Florida. But, with the encouragement of my Colombian teacher, I kept trying.

He would say to me, “Remember, you have to become like a baby, willing to make mistakes without judging yourself. People will correct you and encourage along the way! Just keep trying.”

This, indeed, was the case. I even went as far as going on a weekend trip with a Venezuelan friend who spoke about 50 words of English. That was the most amazing learning experience. There was no time to be afraid, when it became my responsibility, to not only understand, but also to communicate to him words he did not understand in English, using my minimal knowledge of Spanish.

I literally blinked my eyes and have watched my human mind grasp something that almost seemed impossible about ten months ago. What a great lesson for anyone to learn: with mere willpower, you can overcome any obstacle and learn what you never thought you could learn.

• Start with a desire;
• Plant the seed, next; then
• Take steps forward to see that your desire is real;
• Be diligent about your desire;
• Make a plan for yourself that includes your desire. (For instance, for me it might be a trip to Colombia); and
• Finally, trust the power that creates from the rich soil of the earth is the Same Power that will grow your seed thoughts into reality.

And so it is!

How Many Prayers Does It Take? #prayer #treatment #healingprayers #DivineMind #SpiritualLiving

When you begin to work on a new project, anything from baking a cake to constructing a large building, the mental process is similar. You have an idea in mind. From that idea, you decide on a set of ways that you will accomplish the task. You take steps forward to complete the action. You continue until your idea has come to completion. This may take minutes, hours, days, months, or years. But, the idea here is that a thought does not come into complete fruition until it manifests. So, too, is the idea of prayer treatment.

We are human. As humans, we are result oriented. We do not practice wishcraft in the sense that we can sit down in the middle of the kitchen and “hope” for a cake to bake itself. We actually must do the task at hand to see its resolve. So, also, is the task of praying for results.

If you have set out to pray for healing for someone and do not see results, you continue on the pathway toward the manifestation of healing until you see a result. How often you pray is dependent upon your level of trust in your prayer. When people pray continually, they are saying to the Universe and to God, “You don’t hear my prayer!” So, continual prayer may be more to resolve the fear of one’s own prayer being ineffective, than it is out of necessity for the Universal power of Good to take action.

Jesus said, “If you say to the mountain be moved, and believe it with all of your heart, the mountain will move.” So, nowhere in the bible do we see Jesus repeating prayers. He stepped out in faith and simply believed that the power of the universe that manifests our prayers will hearken unto the voice of the faithful.

Our process is more about ridding our minds of the fear that we are ineffective and trusting the prayer is answered—NOT BY US—but by the power of God that manifests in the universe as change, as prosperity, as healing, and as complete peace.

So, the answer to the question: how many prayers does it take—is ONE. However, as humans, we may consider that we treat for a condition one time a day, each day, until we see results. The rest of the time we should use affirmations to appease our own disbelief and continue to trust in the One Power that created all.

Here is an example of this kind of prayer and an affirmation:

“This is what I know to be true. God is all in all. God is in the ocean, the sky, and in the smallest cell of the human body. I know this because all that is in the manifest universe is a result of one thought, one intention, and uses the same energy that manifested the Universe. Therefore, you and I are made from the same energy that created all. There is only one Energy. Knowing this, I see (the person I’m praying for) completely whole. Every cell of his/her body is created in perfection and with love. Any manifestation otherwise is an illusion. (The person) is already healed in my mind now. And I’m thankful for the truth of this prayer. I release is to the Law that knows no failure and moves and acts through me and my intention NOW. And so it is.”

The affirmation: (The person’s name) is now and always has been, a divine reflection of God, a child made in the image of God, in the image of perfection—now.
