Moons: Could This Be the Sign in Revelations?

In the book of
“Revelations” 6:12, quoting from the New Living Bible: “I watched as the Lamb
broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake. The sun became as dark
as black cloth, and the moon became as red as blood.”
On tax day of
this year 2014, the moon slipped into the shadow of the earth for two hours
causing a haunting red cast to the moon. This is known as a Blood Moon. NASA
says that within 18 months, we will have four occurrences of the Blood Moon.
This is called a Tetrad. Interestingly enough, every one of these Blood Moon
occurrences happens on Jewish holidays.
In the book of
“Joel,” 2:31, the prophet says: “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the
moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord.” I looked up
the word “terrible” in the Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon to the Old Testament and it
can be derived as “to fear as in reverence.” It also can mean “stupendous and
admirable.” The translation “terrible” is used twice in the Old Testament for
this Hebrew word, and I’m really not sure why. Perhaps, referring to those who
have not walked according to the path of God, the sinner, in other words, may
consider the Day of Judgment something to fear.
A friend and I were
praying this past week, and we got a prophetic word. The entire word was about
preparing our souls and bodies for a change in the atmosphere of the earth. The
word said specifically, “Everything that can be moved, will be shaken. This is
why so much tumult is happening in your life. You must be ready. I am readying
your souls—helping you to grow out of your childlike qualities, and into
spiritual adults.”
I try not to
judge other beliefs in a time when, really, no one knows what’s going to happen
and when. But, if you are being realistic, you have to admit, the world and
even your own personal lives are being turned upside down at this time. What
could it mean? And why is it happening in this moment when everything and
everybody is so closely knitted together, with Iphones and Skype and Internet.
We all can reach out to any and every part of the earth for answers. Will one specific
answer come to the surface that appeases the masses? I don’t about you, but I’m
looking forward to this “Great and Wonderful Day of the Lord.” I hope you will
put away your fear and ready yourselves, by finding your true authentic belief.
