Living life according to a set of laws has never been my forte. I am a person who loves authenticity. For me to be real, every day and every situation must create it own law. My principle is a gut instinct of just behavior that is not only right for me but for the greater whole.
The Oxford dictionary describes principle in a few different ways:
- a rule or belief governing one's personal behavior;
- morally correct behavior and attitudes;
- a general scientific theorem or law that has numerous special applications across a wide field; and
- a natural law forming the basis for the construction or working of a a mechanical device.
Living live by principle should be a combination of all of the above and one other rather grand idea. This one final, powerful principle is that you are created in the image of God. With this idea, all of the other principles become second nature to the man or woman who embraces this purpose on Earth.
If you want to be a person of principle, don’t try to inflict your ideas on others. Live your purpose daily to serve the highest vision of humanity. In so doing, you will find the greatest principle of all: finding authentic you!
