If your prayer is to walk on the pathway toward peace, then ultimately you will want to be a human conduit of Spirit’s incredible nature flowing through you, as you, in every moment of every day. As you acquiesce to this Divine flow of energy, you become like the Divine, i.e. having the face of God.
In one of the dreams of Ezekiel in the Bible, he has a vision of God having four faces:
Each had the face of a human being, and on the right side each had the face of a lion, and on the left the face of an ox; each also had the face of an eagle. (Ezekiel 1:10)
I believe this was a metaphor that God has many faces, each embracing the multiple attributes of humankind and, also, our animal friends. Ezekiel imagined God as a compassionate human, having the strength of an ox, the fierceness of a lion, and the ability to fly and soar high like an eagle, able to see in an omniscient way. All of these attributes are within us as we allow Spirit to encourage each of our steps, every moment of each day.
Some would think this is an impossible feat. But, you may also think that the Apostle Paul’s suggestion of taking each thought into captivity is also improbable. Trust me, this is not easy, but it can be done.
I do it on a daily basis. Sometimes, I have to backpedal a bit to be the observer, but I do find that each thought is very calculated. Every thought comes from either an old trigger, some kind inspiration, or a desire or need.
Living in the present moment, believing that all is happening for the grand purpose of your growth and the growth of all humanity is the only way to find peace in each moment. This also begins with finding that inherent place in your mind that can actually observe everything you do and step away from it occasionally to evaluate and learn from your own humanity.

You must change your Old Story, to make a consistent and long lasting change in Your Life.
